It's a, you know, it's a symbol of, just hope and, getting around without depending on fossil fuels. So it's it's a it's a beautiful thing. Wow. So, we wanted to spend, the episode, you know, just highlighting the bike and what a great invention it is and how Yeah. People. And it was an invention that really pushed kind of for communities to pave roads. Oh, don't switch. Which then opened up the kind of the road for cars. No kidding. The automobile. But it was bikes that made the initial push to get roads back. Wow. Was it the better roads with it? The good roads movement? Okay. Would be hard to like bike on cobblestone. Yeah. Is. And and yeah, was like such like a liberating kind of movement with the bicycle and free travel. And when did the pegs come in? X Games era. Yeah. X Games eighteen ninety. That wasn't just to like have your best friend on the back? Yeah. Yeah. I think so. And to to grind sick rails. Oh, yeah. And to grind rails. Yeah. But we don't have pegs on this bicycle for three. We could maybe No. We should we should take that stair set. Alright. Three person tail lift? Yeah. It's never been done, so maybe try it. Well, maybe get back to some music. Get out of my way. Get out of my way. Yeah. Get out of my way. See see what we can throw down on this food person. Yeah. We're trying to pick up speed for this jump. Oh, yeah. Quarter pipe a bed. Yeah, okay. I think that's how it works. Is that a sprinkler? Yikes. Watch your busy busy urban urban setting that we're in. Busy bike path. Yeah. Jeez. These guys need to use their signals. Yeah. A lot of people They're pretty reckless. I'm gonna use this signal. Hey. Yeah. To the listener, he raised his middle finger to both Corey and I. It was it was on the proper side that we were turning so it was we'll count it. Yeah. Yeah. That is It was safe. Tech technically proper. I get bike rage. I know you get bike rage, but you got to control it because we are part of a team. We're going on a where are we going exactly? It's kind of like a cross country trip without a purpose. Where where's the Eight months. Amos. We just started going. Yeah. Just a bike race. Yeah. Against ourselves. Yeah. Against their past We're doing time trials. The only way to find ourselves is to get lost. Oh, okay. Well, I didn't bring any snacks. I hope you guys brought some I was thinking we'd run into some sort of kind of a live situation. I mean, maybe just Oh, yeah. Yeah. We'll we'll crash the bike in some unfortunate situation. Maybe find a hot dog cart. We have to resort to eating each other. That was your plan of eating? I figured figured I'd cut to I'd I'd start with the worst case scenario. Then I feel like Time ran out. We try the wild mushrooms first. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Hot hot dog cart sounds sounds pretty good. That's probably the safer bet. Yeah. I'll I'll cast my vote there. Yeah. The hot dog is My my idea is not that great. I'm still grabbing the mushrooms. Yeah. You should probably well, you could put some mushrooms in the hot dog. Yeah. Yeah. No one's stopping us. But definitely keep away from my arm, Nate. Yeah. You know what? I feel so much shame you guys could eat me. Yeah. Alright. I feel that only would set it straight. Alright. Let's make that plan like c or d. Yeah. Well, maybe we can Do I not look appealing or what? Like a I'll grab some of that. Alright. Alright. Might might sprinkle some on my dog. Just take a just take a bite. Yeah. Alright. This bike ride took a dark turn. It's a cannibalism while still riding. Yeah. We haven't gotten off the bike. It's a very stable bike. Yeah. It's a It's got the fat tires. Yeah. It's Yeah. It's one of those bikes. We're not Yeah. We're not going very fast. No. It's People are walking faster than us, but, we're Amphibious bike. Oh, yeah. You can ride it right onto water. Yeah. That's how big the tires are. It's solid. Yeah. It's it's the International Feel bike ride that we do once a year. The bike episode. Yeah. It's the bike episode. It's World Bicycle Day and we thought what better day what better way to celebrate the genius invention that the bicycle is than take a long bike ride around the neighborhood. And by neighborhood I mean the world it wasn't always a great invention no Well, there was the penny the penny farthing oh yeah, and all the yeah just iterations before it's kind current form. And when it Where it's like weird drive train where you're pedaling the whole wheel, the large front wheel. Yeah. The mini precursors to the bicycle. I when I was looking up world bicycle day, I was looking up a few of the the the precursors to bicycles and, yeah, there's the petty farthing. One of the first ones was, like, a wooden bicycle called the dandy horse, which I like the name I kinda like that. We should bring back the dandy horse. It probably wasn't very effective as the modern day bicycle, but the name was good. Actually, it wasn't very dandy. Mean misleading. It's actually led to a false advertising claim. And it was made of wood, so you probably get a lot of splinters, which That's cool. Probably not great. Yeah. But thank you. Yeah. The the modern bicycle is a it's a it's a work of art. Mhmm. It's a it's a great way to get around and burn some some energy. So that's what we're doing today. Ride on. Right. Right on. For for You guys just Just a few minutes left of this episode. You guys wanna try to do a wheelie? I'm Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Alright. Let's try to do try to do a wheelie here. Okay. Let's let's pop a wheelie and Yep. Oh, yeah. Oh, shocks. Oh, shocks. That was that was Oh, an okay try. Okay. Better luck next time. Yeah. Time's running out. So, thanks for listening. Also, this was a reggae episode. I think we mentioned that once, but Ride on. Ride on. Better soundtrack than a cool reggae soundtrack Yeah. For a bike ride. So that's what we chose. Spin those wheels. Roots ride reggae. That's that's what they say. That's All the cyclists are saying it. Yeah. That's what they say. Well, there's a lot of cyclists. Ding ding. And they're all saying roots ride reggae. So, it's official. The bike is the future. The bike is now. The bike is now. And forever will be. Yep. Yep. So, hope you've been riding along with us. If you have, we appreciate it. If not, consider it. Bicycles are fun. They're if you can find one, relatively inexpensive and Good for you and good for your pocketbook. Yeah. For sure. You're not beholden to big oil companies. Or the man. Or the man. Which is kinda one in the same. Right? Big oil is kinda in the Venn diagram. Part the man. Part. It's a section of the They're they're financially tied. Yeah. Let's say that. It's one of the mans. I've said too much. Okay. We're being silenced now. I'm gonna go back to riding horses. Alright. So, yeah, you gotta take off to Get you back to Graceland. Get you back to we'll we'll I know on Graceland. We'll pedal you back to Graceland. Yeah. Maybe take me there and Okay. Well, okay. So we're we're we've got a destination.
