What's on second? How is on third? Howie Mandel is on third? Howie Mandel is on third. Famously. Famously. Well, that's, International Feel and UMFM's, annual pledgerama. So I hope you're enjoying. We we were pulling out all the stops this week with all the programming. We're trying to highlight the best and the the brightest and really show what does for the community, which is a lot. It provides, like, so much interesting local programming. It's got it's got it's a wealth. Free content. Come on. Station here has a cool live booth so you can get bands like recording in here. Yeah. Oh, yeah. We've got we're looking to expand our training capabilities. Right. The broadcast landscape is always changing. Equipment's always getting more and more digital. Radio still has like lots of dials and all these kind of things. So equipment's always changing. We always need to upgrade and repair things and it's not cheap. No. It's not for sure. No. That's why this is the time of year where we ask, you know, friends of the the show and the the radio universe out there to, you know, generously just send us what you can if if this station means anything, which, you know, means a lot to to the community and to to me, providing cool, alternative radio, which, you really don't get anywhere else. You know? And if you wanna resist the algorithm, there's not a lot of places where you can find cool programs that isn't just kinda like funneled and targeting you and sort of nefarious things like that. Yeah. International Feel employs proprietary algorithms. Oh, yeah. Our music and They're just the themes for the episodes. They're they're experimental algorithms. We we handpick the algorithms. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, there's a there's a lot of things that this radio station provides to the community and just listeners out there, you know, some cool stuff. So, yeah, if you're feeling feeling like you wanna donate, you can give us a call. Two zero four four seven four six six one zero or umfm dot com slash donate. Lots of great incentive packages. Absolutely. Lots of great merchandise, cool cool graphics adorning the merchandise. It is a very cool logo this year. Yeah. Cool logos. We've got yeah. Draw draws into some cool I do like the one zero one point five donation. Oh, read it out. Let's hear it. What do you get for one zero one point? An entry into a draw for the Festival Express. Oh. So I mean, if you guys love festivals, which every Manitoban does, this complete with camping for five this summer, hottest out of town festivals including, listen to this, prairie wind, fire and water, trout forest, whoop and holler, and harvest moon. And that's the that's the whole It's basically your summer planned. Yeah. Right there. And how many people? Five. Five. Five. In camping. That's a good guest list. That's a party. That that tent is gonna be rocking. Wow. So that was, for one hundred and one dollars and fifty cents. Additionally, for a hundred and fifty dollars, that you get, one entry into the golden guest list draw, which is, you know, people are asking. People are saying, what's the deal with the golden guest list? So it's a free Is it really golden? It Is it a golden ticket? I'm getting to that. So it's a free entry for you and one guest valid for twelve shows at your venue of choice from May fifteenth to April thirtieth twenty twenty seven. It's pretty crazy. Twelve shows. Any shows you want. Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. So that's cool. So that's a hundred and fifty dollars. And a festival in Calgary. Oh, yes. Passes to the twenty twenty six Sled Island. Oh, no way. You get to travel. That's a cool one. If that was this this year? Twenty twenty six. Think the guest curator is was it clipping? Oh, that's who's doing it this year? I think so. Could be interesting. There we Could be good. Bit of a wild act. Kinda cool. Kinda cool. So if you're interested in that, you know, think about donating. Give us a call. Operators are standing by. Two zero four four seven four six six one zero. U m f m dot com slash donate. Should we read out what we're we're seeing? Yeah. Oh, and the number on the board. We're checking the board. What are we sitting at? We're currently at Oh, the big reveal? Twenty seven thousand seven hundred and twenty eight dollars twenty cents. Classic. Yeah. That is We got an oversized number. Yeah. We hired a a timpani player just for today. Those funds are coming out of our own pocket. Don't worry. That's not from the pledges. So, yeah, I hope you're enjoying the program. It's a little different tonight because we're, you know, we're reaching out and just kind of like pledging our love for this radio station that keeps us well, they're they're keeping us here. Keeps us warm and safe. Yeah. Yeah. I I couldn't I couldn't imagine the world that we would be forced to face if we didn't have the beautiful shelter this this radio station. Don't know. Shelter us physically and creatively. Yeah. I I would probably be up to no good if I weren't here every Wednesday from nine to ten. I would probably be Maybe More so. In a train, a rail yard, maybe hopping trains or something. Derailing them, maybe? Derailing them with throwing pennies on the tracks. Yeah. I'd I'd probably be a Pennies and rocks at trains. Yeah. I'd be a nuisance. Yeah. Mean, usually No No No. To no good. And, yeah, you would have no one to report to with all your nightlife corresponding. I don't I don't think there would be a nightlife. With UMFM? Nightlife. It would all be over. Yeah. Shut down. Yep. Yep. Remember to get your magic glow sticks from International Feel. Yeah. Yeah. The ones that don't stain your clothes. Those are the ones that are good for the environment. Yep. Better for the environment. Yep. So, yeah, this is we're just trying to imagine a world without UMFM. It's kind of like, it's a wonderful life, and it's, it's kind of a it's a sad world to imagine. Mhmm. So, again, Pledge Rama twenty twenty six. We're running till Friday, so there's still time. If you're, you know, humming and hon. Hemming and hon? Hem? Hem? Is it hemming or humming? It's hem. You're hemming and hon. I always said humming, but Yeah. It's hemming. Mhmm. Okay. I learned something. International Feel, we're educational. Mhmm. Mhmm. Of the services that UMFM provides. Yeah. I think to shout or to throw it back, I guess, to one of our past episodes, I believe it was the artificial sassafras Oh, yeah. Episode. We had it in HOG. Yeah. We and and I had to look in look into that because I thought it was and HOG. You did research. I Sometimes we do research. There's a lot that goes into these programs. It sounds like we just throw it together like we just gonna just dump it all. That's what we're going before. Yeah. Yeah. It's a stylistic choice. Yeah. We've got a ten page script. The effort it takes to make it sound effortlessly. Yeah. It's a lot of lot of effort to make it sound like garbage. It's true. Our natural inclination is to make it sound perfect. Yes. Well, he's earning his paycheck. Yeah. That's a symphony player. Classy. Yeah. Classy. Got great timing. Yeah. Beautiful. Beautiful work. Well Bringing a tear to my eye. Yeah. Well, you know, it's hard it's hard out there as a timpani player. We gotta we gotta hire them. Yeah. You know, it's not a lot of work for a single timpani player. Yeah. Especially with the media kind of consolidating the way it is. Yeah. Digital. Digital. Digital timpani's. Yeah. That's what we're up against. But, you know, if we all band together, we can face this this this world and this future together. And that's that's what we're trying to do with this radio community. Just, you know, just be a good a light I don't know. Yeah. Try to just like I don't know. Have some fun in this world, you know? Keep these cool things alive. Right? Yeah. For sure. Radio is I mean Yeah. Everybody's moving to digital and podcast and radio still exists and should always still exist. I don't mean to burst your bubble, but this is a digital signal. It's true. It's and we do podcast. We do. You UMFM does straight podcast. Branching onto podcasting. Oh, man. Yeah. Well, let's Do you have a killer domain, u m f m dot com? That's true. That's true. Which is Where you can donate? Yeah. You can donate, and it's been proudly brought to you by donations and listener funds From the past. Yeah. From people like you. Yeah. So, yeah, thank you. Thank you for the people who have generously donated this far. And if you're thinking about it, you still have time. It's until Friday. So hit us up at u m f m dot com slash donate or on the pledge line at two zero four four seven four six six one zero. Sound good? Should we play some more music? Sounds great. Alright. I like it. Here's some music. We're International Feel. We'll be here for another twenty minutes. Hey, everyone. It's your friends at International Feel on one zero one point five UMFM. Umfm dot org. International Feel that work check it out. Yeah, check it out. It's pledgerama time if you didn't know now, you know Thanks for sticking with us and Donating generously let's lots of lots of Before we get out of here, we should update the number. Yeah. Jared Jared came in here, and he set the record straight. Yeah. We've got some updated numbers, so the Calculotron is tallying it up. What are we at? It's been giving out false numbers, but these are these ones are real. Okay. Well, let's check the printout. These numbers are This is up to date. Are we at, Twenty eight thousand eight hundred and seventy eight dollars. Boom. Seventy cents? Seventy cent? Twenty cents? Bail. Oh, it's kinda hard to make up. I think the seven's listed in the line there. Or a two? Oh, yeah. I think it's a two. Okay. It's a two. To the listeners at home. Would could still use some work. We need to send Jared to Calligraphy. Calligraphy school. Yeah. Calculotron needs to learn to print out the numbers. Yeah. We need to update this Calculotron. Yeah. It's still running on a sixties mainframe. Yeah. Windows ninety five. ENIAC computer. Woah. Sorry. I'm going through an old book on computers. Nice. Okay. Well, that explains it. Yeah. So we're, you know, collecting some money so we can update our old computers and and old gear that's, you know, had a long life, but some things, you know, just need to be replaced after time. Yeah. So that's what this pledgeram is all about. Yep. We Yeah. We only do this once a year. We accept cash, check or money order, e transfer, Visa, Mastercard, credit card payments based on a pre authorized payment plan and PayPal. So, yeah, we we try to make this easy, painless as possible because we know it's hard out there. Yeah. And and, you know, what you wanna do and what's in your heart might not always match up what's in the pocketbook. Any and all donations are great to see and just Yeah. Generous and Whatever way you can. Yeah. You know, we're just trying to raise thirty four thousand dollars this year for to cover operating costs. This represents just fifteen percent of the operating budget for this year, and a hundred percent of those funds raised during pledgerama will go towards replacing our broadcast antenna, which, you know, is pretty important when you're running radio station. Mhmm. Nice clear signal. Yeah. Yeah. So you have the that antenna to thank for it. So, yeah, pledgerama is important. Yeah. We're also looking to put some of this money towards updated training and local news desk. Yes. Which is exciting. Local news, it's only a good thing to have more of it, more more people excited and have an outlet for that. So Yeah. And more ways that just help the community to connect with each other and the going ons, the better. So I'm excited to see what this new development kinda has for this has for the station Yeah. Doors it opens. Well said. Mhmm. So, yeah, if you need any more convincing of, you know, if you're asking, you know what? I like UMFM. I like the programming, but what's in it for me? You can go to u m f m dot com. You can see all the cool incentives we have this year. We've got stickers, magnets, we've got buttons, enamel pins, coffee mugs, a tumbler. We've got a couple designs of shirts. We've got a hoodie, a long sleeve shirt, and any donations of two hundred and seventy five dollars or more, you get a UMFM Bluetooth speaker. That's right. You're gonna Locked in. Yeah. If you're gonna, you know, donate and get this, where it's We're hand soldering the dial. Yeah. We're kinda limiting it just to UMFM. Yeah. So no. That's not. You can listen. Probably not true. You can listen whatever you want. So yeah. Maybe you're an audiobook aficionado. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You could listen to a nice audiobook on the UMFM Bluetooth speaker. You could take it out to the cabin and scare wolves away with other wolf or big big game calls. Maybe attract with bird sounds. Oh, you could attract with bird sounds and then repel it with, like, t rex sounds or something. Who knows what Larger birds. Yeah. Carnivorous bird sounds. But first, have to donate. Yes.
